Cambridge non-Etched Glassware for sale
This page contains Cambridge glass that was produced without etching. It includes the "nude" or "Statuesque" stemware items, Caprice, Mount Vernon, and a number of other non-etched patterns. It also lists pieces in Cambridge opaque colors, including Cambridge's unique "Crown Tuscan" color.
We only list part of our inventory, when we have the time to update these pages, and when we can photograph the pieces. We try to have a picture of every piece that we list, but of course, that takes a lot of time. Write or call if you don't find what you want, as we may have it anyway, and just not gotten it listed here. If you wish to view a picture, click on the underlined description.

Cambridge Figural Flower Frogs
We try to maintain an inventory of Cambridge Figural Flower Frogs, as we believe these to be an excellent example of the "Art" of glassmaking. It is truly a shame that the "art" is dying, at least as far as U.S. manufacture is concerned. All of these flower frogs are original Cambridge manufactured, unless otherwise noted. Cambridge "Crown Tuscan"
Briefly, "Crown Tuscan" is the name that Cambridge came up with for their opaque pink color developed in the early 1930's. Although it is not "milk glass", the color is often a milky pink, though it ranges in shades from almost white, through a range of pink shades, to a dark pink that is almost brown. It's common to find a range of colors within a single piece. The color was in production for most of the remaining years that Cambridge was in business (they closed in 1958). Many pieces of undecorated "Crown Tuscan" were sold to other firms who then applied their own decorations to the pieces. Probably the best known of these other companies was Abels, Wasserberg, Co., of New York City. Their decoration was called "Charleton" (painted roses with gold trimming, or camellias, also with gold trim). When the piece was sold, it was sold as "Charleton" and not as a piece of Cambridge glass. "Charleton" pieces are extremely beautiful, and command higher prices than the non-decorated "Crown Tuscan" pieces. The National Cambridge Collectors have an article on "Charleton" on their web site. And there is a very good Book on "Charleton" showing pieces from Cambridge and many other glass companies. The authors of the book have a web site dedicated to "Charleton", with lots of photos and history.
